Wow. The makers of the Expelled movie are going to pay schools based on the number of people they bring to see it in theaters. They really, really want to convince people that evolutionists are involved in a conspiracy to keep them down. Based on the amount of money changing hands (the movie producers pay back between $5 and $10 per ticket to the school), the movie company will lose money on every ticket (according to this article, the movie theaters pay 50% of ticket sales to the movie producer).
Their website also recommends making the movie part of a mandatory field-trip — get the parents to pay for the movie, spread some propaganda to school children, and the school gets to keep the kickbacks from the movie producers.
